A Slice of Santa Paula

Santa Paula is a quaint agricultural town, tucked north of Magic Mountain theme park and West of the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California. I'd only learned about this charming area but a year ago. Quintessential hills and mountains with swerving, delightful sculptural attitude, compliment the occasional mini farm that decorates its foothills. Certainly a paradise for a painter. While driving to the charming and elegant Santa Paula Museum one day, and riding shotgun, I shot photos out the window while my beau was driving. Caught this one and had to paint it. This is but a slice; a sliver of the beauty of this area, but it encapsulates California in all her charm and glory. At a wee 6"x12", this is in fact, a mini.
